General

What is the HeadX Kross?

HeadX Kross is a head-mounted crosshair-laser device that provides visual feedback on head position and orientation during clinician-selected assessment and rehabilitation tasks.

What is the Kross A3 Wall Chart?

It’s a spiral-bound A3 chart that provides structured visual targets, designed to complement the HeadX Kross system.

Do I need the wall chart to use the HeadX Kross?

No. Kross works independently. The wall chart adds repeatable visual targets and a grid for manual recording; it should not be interpreted as a guarantee of greater accuracy or better outcomes.

Who developed the HeadX products?

All products are clinician-designed in collaboration with rehabilitation experts.

Are HeadX products safe to use?

Use HeadX products according to the supplied instructions and, where relevant, a suitably qualified clinician’s guidance. Individual suitability, exercise selection and progression depend on the assessment.

Can HeadX products be used at home?

Yes, after appropriate fitting and instruction. A clinician should decide whether home use is suitable and specify the exercises, dose and progression.

Can multiple people use the same Kross system?

Yes, as long as straps and adjustments are set individually.

Is there training required to use the device?

No separate product certification is required, but users should read the instructions and clinicians should understand the selected assessment or exercise protocol before use.

Are replacement parts available?

Yes, please contact contact@headx.co.uk for availability.

Do you sell digital wall charts?

Yes, downloadable A4 wall charts are available for free.

Do HeadX products require software or apps?

HeadX Kross works without software or an app; it provides visual feedback through the crosshair laser. HeadX Duo connects via Bluetooth to the HeadX app to record and review digital assessment results.

Can I use HeadX products for children?

Only under the direction of a suitably qualified paediatric clinician, after confirming that the device and planned exercises are appropriate for the child.

Exercises

What kind of exercises can I do with the Kross?

Head movement tracking, posture correction, and proprioception retraining.

Can the device help with concussion rehab exercises?

It can be used as one component of a clinician-led programme when cervical sensorimotor or gaze-control findings are relevant after concussion. It does not diagnose concussion or replace a broader assessment.

Does the wall chart have exercises printed on it?

It provides structured targets but not printed exercise instructions.

How do I use the laser during exercises?

The crosshair laser acts as a visual cue to follow specific movement paths.

Can I use the Kross for balance training?

It can provide visual feedback during clinician-selected gaze-stability and balance exercises. Suitability and progression should follow the individual assessment.

How long should sessions last?

Session duration should be set according to the person’s symptoms, tolerance, task and clinician-led plan; there is no universal 10–20 minute dose.

Is there a warm-up required?

Not universally. A clinician can decide whether mobility preparation is appropriate for the person and the planned task.

Can exercises be done daily?

Only when daily practice is appropriate for the person and consistent with the clinician-led plan. Frequency and progression should be individualised.

Does it help with post-stroke rehabilitation exercises?

It may be used for selected visual-motor or head-control exercises within clinician-led neurological rehabilitation. Suitability depends on the person’s assessment and goals.

Can I use it for vestibular therapy?

It may be incorporated into clinician-led vestibular rehabilitation when cervical, gaze-control or head-movement exercises are appropriate.

Is there an age limit for exercises?

There is no single age cut-off, but use with children or older adults should follow an individual assessment, appropriate supervision and the product instructions.

Can athletes use the Kross?

Yes, when a suitably qualified practitioner selects the device and tasks for rehabilitation or performance-related head-control work.

Do you provide exercise guides?

Yes. The HeadX exercise library provides a graduated framework. Exercise selection, dose and progression should still be individualised.

Can the Kross measure progress?

Kross does not record digital movement data. A clinician can manually record target error and movement quality using a consistent protocol; HeadX Duo adds digital recording and repeated-session review.

Does the device replace physiotherapy?

No, it enhances physiotherapy but does not replace clinical supervision.
