Choose Kross when immediate crosshair-laser feedback is the main requirement and you do not need software or digital recording. Choose Duo when you also need app-connected angular recording for defined active-movement or head-repositioning tasks and repeated-session review. Compare both systems, or tell us about your workflow if you are unsure.
Both products use crosshair-laser feedback. Kross makes laser position visible relative to a target and does not record data. Duo adds an inertial sensor and companion app that record angular movement during a defined task. The device output still requires interpretation within the wider assessment.
Yes. Book a 15-minute demonstration to see the assessment workflow, or start a contextual enquiry if you first need to check compatibility, intended use or purchase options.
Every Kross package includes the device, two adjustable elastic straps, USB charging cable and storage box. Every Duo package includes the device, adjustable PVC strap and shock-resistant storage box; a USB-C cable is not included. Package names identify wall-chart or exercise-booklet additions. HeadX Kross is a head-mounted crosshair-laser device that provides visual feedback on head position and orientation during clinician-selected assessment and rehabilitation tasks.
It’s a spiral-bound A3 chart that provides structured visual targets, designed to complement the HeadX Kross system.
No. Kross works independently. The wall chart adds repeatable visual targets and a grid for manual recording; it should not be interpreted as a guarantee of greater accuracy or better outcomes.
All products are clinician-designed in collaboration with rehabilitation experts.
Use HeadX products according to the supplied instructions and, where relevant, a suitably qualified clinician’s guidance. Individual suitability, exercise selection and progression depend on the assessment.
Yes, after appropriate fitting and instruction. A clinician should decide whether home use is suitable and specify the exercises, dose and progression.
Yes, as long as straps and adjustments are set individually.
No separate product certification is required, but users should read the instructions and clinicians should understand the selected assessment or exercise protocol before use.
Yes, please contact contact@headx.co.uk for availability.
Yes, downloadable A4 wall charts are available for free.
HeadX Kross works without software or an app; it provides visual feedback through the crosshair laser. HeadX Duo connects via Bluetooth to the HeadX app to record and review digital assessment results.
Only under the direction of a suitably qualified paediatric clinician, after confirming that the device and planned exercises are appropriate for the child.
Head movement tracking, posture correction, and proprioception retraining.
It can be used as one component of a clinician-led programme when cervical sensorimotor or gaze-control findings are relevant after concussion. It does not diagnose concussion or replace a broader assessment.
It provides structured targets but not printed exercise instructions.
The crosshair laser acts as a visual cue to follow specific movement paths.
It can provide visual feedback during clinician-selected gaze-stability and balance exercises. Suitability and progression should follow the individual assessment.
Session duration should be set according to the person’s symptoms, tolerance, task and clinician-led plan; there is no universal 10–20 minute dose.
Not universally. A clinician can decide whether mobility preparation is appropriate for the person and the planned task.
Only when daily practice is appropriate for the person and consistent with the clinician-led plan. Frequency and progression should be individualised.
It may be used for selected visual-motor or head-control exercises within clinician-led neurological rehabilitation. Suitability depends on the person’s assessment and goals.
It may be incorporated into clinician-led vestibular rehabilitation when cervical, gaze-control or head-movement exercises are appropriate.
There is no single age cut-off, but use with children or older adults should follow an individual assessment, appropriate supervision and the product instructions.
Yes, when a suitably qualified practitioner selects the device and tasks for rehabilitation or performance-related head-control work.
Yes. The HeadX exercise library provides a graduated framework. Exercise selection, dose and progression should still be individualised.
Kross does not record digital movement data. A clinician can manually record target displacement using a consistent setup and protocol; Duo adds app-connected angular recording and session review. Any difference between sessions still requires interpretation in context.
No. HeadX is a feedback or recording tool used within clinician-selected tasks. It does not replace assessment, clinical supervision or an individual treatment plan.
