Fitting and device controls

Fitting the straps

Kross has two elastic straps: one over the head and one around it. Use the strap adjusters (tri-glide clips) at the sides to change the fit.

  1. Slide the adjusters to loosen both straps fully.
  2. Place Kross on the patient's head with the laser at the front, around mid-forehead level, and the battery/control unit at the back.
  3. Adjust both straps until Kross is secure and comfortable, without pressure points or slipping.
  4. Centre the device and check that no hair is caught under the straps.
  5. Turn on the laser and check that the crosshair is clear on the target. If the beam is angled, use the laser unit's angle adjustment to correct it. If it is displaced sideways, reposition Kross and check again.

Important: Fit Kross securely so it cannot fall off during head movement.

Power and laser modes

The Kross has a single green function button on the front of the device. Pressing it cycles through the following states:

  1. Off
  2. 100% brightness (full laser output)
  3. 50% brightness (reduced laser output)
  4. Flash mode
  5. Off

For clinical use, 100% brightness is recommended for maximum crosshair visibility. 50% brightness may be used in dimmer rooms. Flash mode is not recommended for active clinical sessions.

Charging

The charging port is located on the rear battery and control module, behind a protective cover.

  1. Remove the cover on the rear module to expose the charging port.
  2. Connect the supplied USB cable to a standard USB charger. Do not use fast chargers — these will damage the device.
  3. The indicator light on the rear module will show red while charging.
  4. The indicator light will change to green when fully charged.
  5. Replace the cover when charging is complete.

A full charge takes approximately 3 hours and provides up to 36 hours of continuous use. Charge the device fully before first use and after any extended period of storage.
