Flexion and extension, left and right rotation, and left and right lateral flexion.

Metrics and results

The saved summary shows the maximum angle recorded in each direction and the combined range where applicable.

Saved sessions, reports and exports

Run an assessment on its own or group assessments into an appointment. Add optional participant and session details, save the record to history and return to the individual summary.

Share an individual assessment PDF or a combined appointment PDF. Structured CSV exports can include session, Range of Motion, Joint Position Sense, Stability and Control, and limb-trial results. Raw sensor CSV is available when Research Mode is enabled.

Duo records the task in degrees for professional interpretation; it does not assign a universal pass or fail score.

Practical questions, answered

How is Duo different from Kross?

Both Kross and Duo include a crosshair laser for visual feedback. Duo also has a movement sensor in the same unit and connects to the HeadX Duo app to record neck, trunk and limb assessments, save sessions and export results.

Which devices can I use?

The HeadX Duo app is available for iOS, Android and Windows. It connects to Duo over Bluetooth. See the store listings for supported devices and operating-system requirements.

What is planned in the Duo (Multilimb Edition) kit?

One black bundle is planned, including the Duo sensor, adjustable wipe-clean head strap, and arm, leg and chest straps. The same kit supports neck, limb and trunk placements. Final package specification, price and release timing will be confirmed before launch.

How do I get started?

Once the kit is available, connect Duo to the app over Bluetooth, choose a body area and assessment, fit the appropriate included strap and follow the app prompts. Orders are not open yet.

Are the same assessments available for every body area?

Range of Motion is available for the neck, shoulder, elbow, trunk, hip and knee. Joint Position Sense and Stability and Control are available for the neck, with Beta versions for the shoulder and trunk.

Beta assessments are available to use while these workflows continue to be refined. The Explorer identifies them beside each assessment.

Where are sessions stored?

Session data is stored on the device running the HeadX Duo app. Review your history or export a record when you want to share it. Your organisation manages consent, access, backups and exported records.
